The first time I saw Melissa and Kodi smile, a genuine smile with dimpled cheeks and a twinkle in their eyes, was on their wedding day. We had met a few weeks before on a walk through at the Strathmore Mansion, but we were all wearing masks. Meeting them again on their wedding day was a little like having a first blind date in the dark and then having your second date in the bright sunlight. They are a gorgeous couple. His sweet, innocent smile has just a hint of shenanigans and was matched beautifully with her bright, generous smile that lit up the room the entire afternoon.
They were supposed to be getting married in Annapolis, MD on the waterfront. Instead, they chose an unorthodox path that is becoming more and more common - a small, intimate wedding with only a few guests present - while their larger family and friend group watched from the comfort (and safety) of their own home through an internet connection.
The Strathmore has created a unique wedding package for brides and grooms looking to have a special day amidst a global pandemic.
