Change of Command on a Naval Warship is a time honored tradition that is performed around the world on US Naval Vessels. Because we're a Navy family, we go to Change of Command pretty frequently, and I never get tired to the pride and professionalism on display at each and every single one of them. People are celebrating the end of a chapter, the beginning of a new chapter, saying goodbye to a beloved skipper, hoping the next skipper will lead them well. It's a sacred tradition and I am in awe every time I am lucky enough to witness the moment unfold.
